Acting Chairman

Yao Agbelenko Abalo

Mr. Yao A. Abalo is the Chief Executive Omcer of the Central Securities Depository (GH) Ltd, a position he has held since June 2017. He previously worked with the Bank of Ghana, rising to become an Advisor to the Governor of the Bank, with oversight on treasury operations. Among other positions held in the Bank, he was Director and Head of the Treasury Department, Risk Management Department and Director of the External Financial Relations Department.
Mr. Abalo holds an M.A. in Economic Policy Management from McGill University, Canada, a Graduate Diploma in Population Studies and a B.A. (Hons) in Economics and Statistics from the University of Ghana.
Managing Director

Abena Amoah

Abena Amoah is the first female Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange, appointed by the Exchange’s Council effective November 24, 2022.
Ms. Amoah is an accomplished investment banker and capital markets expert who has led on many landmark transactions for more than 20 years.
Abena’s experience covers stock market listings and trading, mergers and acquisitions advisory, investment research, asset management, private placement of equity, debt and hybrid instruments, large infrastructure project development, business start-ups and incubation, public education on investment and financial matters, and capital markets development strategies, across diverse sectors of the Ghanaian environment.

She has served on boards of companies – publicly listed, private and not-for-profit – such as Access Bank PLC, African Women’s Development Fund, Ghana Stock Exchange, Ghana Petroleum Funds, Kosmos Energy Ghana HC Advisory Council, The Foschini Group Ghana Ltd, University of Ghana Council, Venture Capital Trust Fund and Wapic Insurance Ghana Ltd. She has been an advisor to the Government of Ghana and financial sector regulators in West Africa on the deepening of financial markets, and is highly respected in her industry for her outstanding professionalism and integrity.

Abena started her career as an investment analyst and stockbroker, growing to build and lead top investment banks in Ghana. She has previously worked with the BlackIvy Group LLC, where she led development of the 400-acre WestPark Industrial Park at Shama in the Western Region; Renaissance Group, where she was CEO of NewWorld Renaissance Securities Ltd and Head of Investment Banking & Finance in West Africa (ex-Nigeria) for Renaissance Capital; and Strategic African Securities Ltd, where she was the Executive Director of the company.

Abena is an alumna of the University of Ghana Business School, and has also undertaken academic and leadership studies at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School and the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business, all in the USA. She was a founding executive of the Ghana Securities Industry Association, an Authorised Dealing Officer of the Ghana Stock Exchange and an Assessor (Capital Markets Expert) of the Commercial Division of the High Court of Ghana.

Benjamin Brighte Ackah-Nyamike

Benjamin Brighte Ackah-Nyamike is the General Manager of UMB Stockbrokers Limited, a pioneer Brokerage firm on the Ghana Stock Exchange where he leads the execution of the institution’s long-term strategic plan. He has exhibited in a career spanning over 20 years, skills in Marketing, Brokerage, Financial Analysis and Management resulting in Mergers, acquisitions, and listings on the Ghana Stock Exchange including the merger of Dannex Ltd, Ayrton Drug Manufacturing Ltd and Starwin Products Ltd to Daspharma PIc. Prior to this role, he was the CEO of HFC Brokerage now Republic Securities, where he provided leadership to position the Company at the forefront of the industry.
Benjamin is a Registered Securities Dealer of the Ghana Stock Exchange, a CIMA Associate member and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He holds an MBA in Finance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a BSc. in Chemistry from the University of Ghana.

Prof. Philip Ebow Bondzi-Simpson

Philip Ebow Bondzi-Simpson is a Barrister and Solicitor of many years’ standing, a Professor of Law, the immediate past Rector of GIMPA, the Founding Dean of UCC Faculty of Law, Former Dean of Business at UCC, former Director of Legal Services and Investigations at CHRAJ, former Senior Lecturer at the Ghana School of Law and Editor of the Ghana School of Law Journal, and former Head of Management Studies at the then Central University College (now Central University).
Of Mfantsipim School, Cape Coast and St. John’s School, Sekondi, his tertiary qualifications include LLB (Ghana), LLM (Saskatchewan), SJD (Toronto), and BL (Ghana) and PGDE (Cape Coast). He has also taken courses at The Hague Academy of International Law, The Hague, The Netherlands; the International Institute of Human Rights, Strasbourg, France; the Institute of International Public Law and International Relations, Thessaloniki, Greece; the Ghana Stock Exchange, Accra; Galilee International Management Institute, Galilee, Israel; and University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Seth Quarcoo Ofori

Seth is currently the General Manager of SIC Brokerage Ltd. and a member of the Ghana Securities Industry Association (GSIA). Prior to joining SIC Brokerage Ltd., He was an Associate Vice-President of IC Securities (Ghana) Ltd. responsible for heading the Brokerage Department, having previously worked with SDC Brokerage Services as an Authorised Dealing Officer. As a Registered Securities Dealer (RSD) licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Ghana Stock Exchange, with over twenty-five years of experience, he has initiated and executed numerous block trades worth several millions of Ghana Cedis on the Ghanaian bourse on behalf of both local and foreign investors.

As General Manager providing strategic and visionary leadership at SIC Brokerage for over a decade now, Seth has led various business development programmes including processes leading to the listing of a number of companies on the Ghana Stock Exchange. He has also headed a team to establish Provident Fund Schemes for a number of associations whose members are on the payroll of the Government of Ghana.

He holds an Executive MBA in Banking and Finance from the Paris Graduate School of Management, Paris France and a degree in BSc Admin in Banking and Finance from the University of Ghana, Legon. He has undertaken a course and holds a certificate in Domestic Debt Management in West Africa, jointly organized by the West African Institute of Finance and Economic Management/United Nations Institute of Training and Research (WAIFEM/UNITAR). He is an avid writer of stock market articles in both local and international newspapers and magazines.

Pearl Nkrumah

Pearl Nkrumah is a consummate banker with two and half decades of multinational banking experience across Africa, Europe and Asia. She is currently the Executive Director for Retail and Digital Banking at Access Bank (Ghana) Plc, where she oversees the Retail Business and leads the charge in driving the Digital Strategy of the Bank.

Pearl started her Banking career at Standard Chartered Bank in 1998 and later joined Stanbic Bank in 2012 where she occupied senior roles delivering on the strategic aspiration of the bank. Under her leadership, the bank’s Main Market and Ecosystems business recorded outstanding growth. She is also credited with building the blueprint and structure for the Bank’s inclusive and Mass Market business segments including Youth Banking.

Pearl has provided strategic leadership for diverse portfolios and built significant expertise in Retail Banking, Digital Financial Services, SME and Commercial Business. She also has extensive hands-on experience in Credit Product Design and Ecosystem Relationship management.

Beyond her busy professional schedule, she is passionate about initiatives that drive gender equity, empowerment, education, and the promotion of entrepreneurship and strongly believes in the power of digitalization in impacting the wider society beyond banking.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Ghana. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She has attended several executive leadership programs at leading international institutions, including the Harvard Business School Authentic Leaders Development program.

Kofi Adomakoh

Kofi is an experienced banker with over 29 years of professional experience, 20 of which have been at the executive management level. Kofi has an accumulated worth of experience in project and export finance, development finance, corporate and transaction banking, and providing financial solutions for international and regional institutional clients.
Kofi was appointed as the Managing Director of GCB Bank Plc in November 2020 after 11years of employment with African Export-Import (Afreximbank) Bank as Director & Global Head, Project and Asset-Based Finance. He led and structured several transactions worth over USD10 billion across the African continent in both public and private sectors.

Kofi was appointed as the Executive Director, Corporate & Institutional Banking at Barclays Bank Ghana Limited (now ABSA Bank) between 2005 and 2009. He also held key management roles at Ecobank Ghana Limited and rose to the Head of Institutional Banking Group. His Banking Career started at The Trust Bank Ghana Limited in 1993.

Kofi holds an Executive Masters’ Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture majoring in Economics both from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Secretary

Akua Oparebea Amponsah

Akua is the Legal Advisor and Company Secretary of the Exchange and provides legal advice across the full spectrum of the Exchange's business. She is also responsible for the Exchange's compliance function and ensures that the Exchange complies with its legal and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies, and that Listed Companies and Licensed Dealing Members fulfil their continuing obligations to the Exchange.

Prior to joining the Exchange, Akua practiced at the law firm, Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah, where she worked on local and international transactions in the energy, petroleum, and mining sectors. She has also previously worked in Human Resources and Administration at AngloGold Ashanti Limited.

Akua holds a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) from Columbia University, New York; a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B.) from the University of Ghana; and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Management and Psychology, also from the University of Ghana. In addition, she holds a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law, where she was awarded the Best Graduating Student in the Law of Taxation at her call to the bar.

She has received legal and capital market training from reputable institutions such as Clifford Chance, U.K; International Law Institute in the U.S.A; and the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and the International Bar Association.

Dr. Maxwell Opoku-Afari

Dr. Maxwell Opoku-Afari was appointed as the First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana on August 7, 2017.
Prior to his appointment, Dr. Opoku-Afari worked at the IMF in various capacities including as Mission Chief and Deputy Division Chief in the African Department of the IMF.
His work at the IMF focused on IMF negotiation missions, policy design in the area of monetary policy modernization and macro financial linkages, and was a reviewer of policy documents on a number of developing countries.
He holds a first degree in Economics and Statistics, and an MPhil in Economics, both from the University of Ghana, Legon and also a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.

Abena Amoah

Augustine Simons

Augustine started his working career in Information Technology as a Systems Administrator with the IT Department of Bank of Ghana in May 1995. In 2001 he was seconded from the Central Bank to the West African Monetary Institute (WAMI) as Information Technology Manager when WAMI was established in 2001 and returned to Bank of Ghana in 2003. He was reassigned from the IT Department to the Central Securities Depository of Bank of Ghana to join the management team of the Securities Depository in the following year.
He later moved to the Ghana Stock Exchange in July 2006 to join the management team of the Exchange to play a leading role in the automation of the Exchange and lead key strategic development in information technology and other important initiatives at the Exchange; including the establishment of the GSE Securities Depository and its later merger with the Central Securities Depository of Bank of Ghana into the Central Securities Depository (GH) Ltd, the Ghana Alternative Market and the Ghana Fixed Income Market.
Augustine served as the Head of the Information Technology Department of the Ghana Stock Exchange from July 2006 till July 2019 when he was reassigned to head the Ghana Fixed Income Market (GFIM) of the Ghana Stock Exchange, a market which he played a key role in its establishment in 2015. He continues to spearhead various strategic initiatives in the capital market of Ghana. He is a member of the Technical Committee of GFIM, a member of the Market and Products Working Group managing the Capital Market Master Plan (CMMP). He also serves as a member of the Governing Committee of the Ghana Fixed Income Market and a member of the Institute of Directors-Ghana (IoD-Gh).
He holds an EMBA (Finance option) from University of Ghana, Legon and a BSc (Computer Science) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

Michael Ewusi Mensah

Mr. Michael Ewusi Mensah is the Chief Executive Officer of the Central Securities Depository (GH) LTD. He was appointed to the role in October 2021. He has worked for over 25 years with the Bank of Ghana, rising to Director and Head of ICT Department in October 2017. He has played key roles in various projects in the Bank, including leading in the establishment and certification of the Information Security Management System and the Cybersecurity Management System as well as the implementation of the Ghana Interbank Settlement System for the banking industry in Ghana. He was member of the team that produced the Cyber and Information Security Directives for the banking Industry. He was instrumental in the certification of the ISMS of the Central Securities Depository (GH) LTD. Between 2005 and 2013, Mr. Mensah led teams to the Central Bank of Liberia and Bank of Sierra Leone to implement their banking and accounting systems and provide training. He has facilitated ICT and accounting programmes at the Bank of Ghana Training School, National Banking College and West African Institute for Finance and Economic Management in Nigeria. He holds a BSc. in Computer Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and a Masters Achievement in Business Resilience from Business Resilience Certification Consortium International (BRCCI). He has a number of IT professional certifications including Certified Business Resilience Manager, Certified Business Resilience IT Professional, Certified Business Resilience Auditor from BRCCI, Canada, Certified Cyber Risk Manager, Learning Tree, UK and Lead Information Security Auditor ISO27001, Lloyds, UK. Mr. Mensah has extensive experience in ICT, risk management and information/cybersecurity systems.

Stephen Opata

Stephen Opata is Director of the Financial Markets Department at the Bank of Ghana and a member of the Monetary Policy Committee. He represents the Bank of Ghana on a few technical committees including the Ghana Petroleum Funds’ Investment Advisory Committee and Capital Market Master Plan Committee. He joined the Bank of Ghana in 2006 and serves on the Reserves Management, Investments and Auctions Committees at the Central Bank.
Steve previously held portfolio risk management and financial risk consulting roles with JP Morgan Chase and KPMG Consulting respectively in the USA. He holds a master’s degree in Economics from the Simon Fraser University, Canada, and MBA (Finance) from the George Washington University, USA.
He is married and has four beautiful daughters; his hobbies include reading and sight-seeing.

Samuel Arkhurst

Samuel Danquah Arkhurst is a Chief Economics Officer and Director of Treasury and Debt Management Division of the Ministry of Finance. He has 30 years of experience as an Economist. As the Director of Treasury and Debt Management he was a key figure in the current public debt management policies in the areas of reprofiling maturing domestic debt, introduction of the book building process for auction in Ghana, buy-back programme for loans from the international capital markets and debt restructuring.
Samuel has played major roles in different Divisions of the Ministry. He was involved in macroeconomic modelling and financial programming of the country for Ghana when he was in the Policy Analysis Division. He was the Ministry of Finance representative in the GIFMIS project for our first phase of public financial management reforms when he was in the Budget Division. On budgeting, he was the Head of Public Expenditure Monitoring Unit and helped develop the current cash flow planning and expenditure monitoring and analysis and also was once the Head of Tax Policy Unit.

Winston Nelson

Winston is the CEO of Amber Securities Limited, a Member of the Ghana Stock Exchange and President of the Ghana Securities Industry Association. He is an accomplished financial adviser, stockbroker and capital markets expert who has led many landmark transactions in Ghana capital market in the past 20years. His experience covers securities trading, investment research, stock market listings and delistings, mergers & acquisitions and capital markets development strategies.

Winston was a member of the steering committee responsible for setting-up the Ghana Fixed Income Market in 2015. He is currently a member of the steering committee tasked with the implementation of the Capital Market Master Plan an industry strategic plan promoted by the Securities & Exchange Commission and the Domestic Credit Rating Agency sponsored by the Ministry of Finance.

Winston serves on various boards and committees such as – Governing Council of the Ghana Fixed Income Market, Business Conduct Committee of Central Securities Depository (GH) Limited and the Governing Council of the Ghana Securities Industry Association. He also served on the Board of the Ghana Stock Exchange between 2009 and 2015.

Winston is a graduate of the University of Ghana Business School and the Department of Economics of the University of Ghana, where he obtained a BA in Economics & Management, and Brunel University, UK, where he obtained an MSc in International Money, Finance and Investments. He is also an authorised dealing officer of the Ghana Stock Exchange.

Kofi Pianim

Mr. Kofi Pianim is the Head of Markets for First National Bank, Ghana, a subsidiary of the FirstRand Group. Prior to his current role, Mr. Pianim was the Head of Trading for Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited in their Global Markets department.

Mr. Pianim has a wealth of experience, spanning a period of 18 years, in global banking and financial markets, focusing on sustainable growth, ethics, regulatory and control issues as well as risk management in the context of global standards.

He served two terms as the President of ACI Financial Markets Association up until December 2022. ACI is a leading global trade association representing the interests of the professional wholesale financial markets community.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Coventry University, United Kingdom.

M. Nana Sarfo

Nana is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bora Capital Advisors. He has over 25 years’ experience in the investment banking industry in Ghana and has worked on several major transactions in Ghana and the West African sub-region. Prior to founding Bora Capital, Nana was the CEO of Fidelity Securities and Head of Investment Banking within the Fidelity Group for over 5 years.

He has worked as a Regional Investment Officer in Ecobank Capital, responsible for capital market deals within West and Central Africa. He also served as Head of Corporate Finance at UMB Bank (then Merchant Bank Ghana) where he led major landmark transactions within banking, mining, breweries, automobile industries.

Nana has an MBA from Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota in the USA, a BA Economics and Computer Science from the University of Ghana and is a Chartered Banker (ACIB from both England & Wales and Ghana Institute of Bankers). He is a member of the Governing Council of Ghana Securities Industry Association and serves on the boards of many firms and funds within the country.

Afua Twumwaa Bulley

Afua Twumwaa Bulley is Stanbic Bank Ghana’s Head of Global Markets. Prior to taking up this role she was the Head of Global Markets Sales in the same institution responsible for developing new business opportunities and engaged in cross selling of treasury products to clients.

A leading expert in Financial Markets in Ghana she holds an MSC in Finance from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland and a BSC in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Afua has over 23 years of multi-role experience in Ghana’s financial markets and a strong grounding in corporate banking with specialist skills in Markets.

She has an extensive network of high-level relationships across both government and private sectors.
Afua has played an important role in deepening Ghana’s financial markets over the years. Amongst other roles she was part of the team that advised the government on the roll out of its private equity programme. Afua has also served as an instructor on Ghana’s stock exchange. She currently serves on the board of SBG Securities and is a member of the Investment Committee of Stanbic Investment Management Services.

Winston Nelson

Kofi Pianim

Jacob Brobey

Jacob is the Head of Global Markets at Absa Bank Ghana Limited, with over 17 years’ industry experience. Over the years, Jacob has acquired extensive knowledge and experience in risk management, treasury management, strategy and trading.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree from the University of Cape Coast and an Executive MBA (Finance) from the University of Ghana. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) of the United Kingdom, a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAG), and a holder of the ACI Dealing Certificate.

Harrison Tettey-Fio

Harrison Tettey-Fio is a finance professional with over 17 years of experience in Banking and Finance. His experience covers product management, securities trading and settlement, customer experience improvement, setting up new securities businesses, business operations risk review and assisting market infrastructure with best practices.

He has extensive experience in Securities Services Operations covering key African markets (South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, BRVM), Europe (Clearstream) and America (DTC).

He has since 2014 served on various committees at the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Central Securities Depository (CSD) and contributed to the development of the capital market in Ghana.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration (Banking & Finance) from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Daniel Boateng

Daniel Boateng is Head of Trading, GCB Bank Plc. He has over 16 years’ experience in the banking industry, the core of it covering treasury management and execution, asset management, project and financial management.
At GCB, Daniel is the Head of Trading, overseeing the Forex and Fixed Income Trading business. He set up the Fixed Income Desk, which has since become a force to reckon with on the Ghana Fixed Income market (GFIM). He is currently a technical committee member of GFIM and a member of the Board of Education of ACI Ghana, The Financial Market Association, training the market on Repurchase Agreements under GMRA and Bond trading.
Prior to joining GCB Bank, Daniel worked with Societé Generalé Ghana as a management trainee, where he led the setting up of the Fixed Income Desk in 2011, then with Barclays Bank (Now ABSA Bank) as a Performance Analyst, optimizing business processes and reengineering.
He also worked at Databank Financial Service Limited.
Daniel is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ghana Business School, and has a distinction in ACI Dealing Certificate.

Ambrose Karikari

Mr. Ambrose K. Karikari holds MBA in Finance, University of Ghana, BSc. Jordan Sackey

Jordan Ekow Addo Sackey is a Chief Manager and Head of the Middle office of the Financial Markets Department at the Bank of Ghana, Jordan has rich industry experience in the Global Investment Banking with over two decades of work experience. He is highly respected for his professionalism, integrity and technical knowledge in Global Financial Markets.

Since joining the Bank of Ghana, Jordan has been a driver of financial markets reforms and was part of the team that saw to the introduction of GMRA based repos in Ghana. He is also a member of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) Africa Committee and represents the Bank of Ghana at several stakeholder committees.

Jordan’s experience covers reserves management, risk management, portfolio management, interest rates, fixed income and derivatives trading, mergers and acquisitions advisory, investment research, asset management, private equity, structured financing, quantitative analysis, corporate strategy and business development across diverse global markets.

Jordan started his career as a quant analyst with Standard Bank London before moving to the G10 short term interest rates (STIRT) trading desk with Standard Chartered Bank Dubai. He later joined the Strategic Client Coverage Group based out of Johannesburg covering the Africa Region. He left SCB in 2012 to co-found SYNEKAS Consults where he was the executive director in-charge of Strategy and Advisory. He had oversight of origination and business development of deal flows across the sub-Sahara Africa region.

Jordan is a proud alumnus of Mfantsipim School in Cape Coast where he had his secondary education. He is also an alumnus of the University of Manchester where he obtained his first degree and Masters in Aerospace Engineering. He then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Finance at the prestigious Imperial College London

Anthony Kuranchie

Anthony has over 13 years of professional experience in the financial markets with particular reference to Fixed Income, FX and Money Markets trading.

He is an Associate Director with Standard Chartered Bank, responsible for Emerging Markets Rates and Credit trading for Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire. Prior to, Anthony worked with Stanbic Bank Ghana Ltd as a Money Markets Trader.

Anthony holds an MSc. in Finance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration and a BSc. in Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. In addition, he holds an ACI Dealing Certificate.

Henry Sunkwa-Mills

Henry is the Managing Director of InvestCorp. Prior to this role, he was the Deputy Managing Director of the Firm – responsible for planning, monitoring and evaluation of policy and strategy implementation. As Managing Director, he is responsible for the overall strategic management of the Firm, is a member of the Investment Committee and serves as a board member of the Firm’s managed mutual funds.
He is a member of the Ghana Securities Industry Association’s Fund Managers & Advisors Committee and also a member of the Technical Committee of the Ghana Fixed Income Market (GFIM).
Henry worked with Merrill Lynch / Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York within the Global Energy & Power Investment Banking Group. He possesses strong origination and corporate finance skills, including leveraged finance, deal origination and corporate restructuring. Henry has extensive and key relationships in Ghana and internationally, which are critical to the success of our firm.
He served on the Board of the Ghana Netherlands Business and Culture Council (GNBCC) between 2015 and 2019 and acted as the Treasurer of the Council. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Accra La-East and serves on the Public Image (PI) and Fundraising Committees.
Henry obtained an honors degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, graduating summa cum laude. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies. In 2012, Henry was admitted to Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management MBA program but did not pursue it.

Elizabeth Owuredu

Elizabeth Owiredu is a Principal Budget Analyst and Head of Debt Capital Market Unit in the Treasury and Debt Management Division of the Ministry of Finance. She has over 16 years’ experience in the Ministry of Finance.
She graduated from Methodist University College and also obtained a Master’s Degree in International Development from the Ewha Women’s University in Seoul, South Korea.
As the Head of the Debt Capital Market Unit in the Financing and Execution Unit, she assisted the Director of Treasury and Debt Management in the current public debt management policies in the areas of financing of the Budget from both domestic and international capital market, reprofiling of maturing domestic debt, reforms in the Primary dealer system on the domestic market, the book building process for auction in Ghana, and the buy-back programme for bonds from the international capital markets. Initiatives that won an international award for Africa.
Elizabeth plays major roles in various Government operational Committees including the Auction Committee, Treasury Management Committee and the OMO Committee. She is also responsible for the Divisions’ investor relations with market participants on regular basis (mainly Primary Dealers and Bond Market Specialists).

The market has been established by key stakeholders in the financial market led by the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Ghana Stock Exchange, (GSE), Central Securities Depository Ghana Ltd (CSD), Ghana Association of Bankers, the Ministry of Finance, Financial Market Association (ACI Ghana) and Licensed Dealing Members (LDMs) of the Ghana Stock Exchange.
